What?
A humanitarian web project dedicated to crisis awareness through the aggregation and compelling delivery of crises information via an innovative user experience.
Why?
We hope to ultimately help encourage people to take action and make a difference, even just by sending an email or making a phone call. Activism isn't just marching and protesting. We're building Rainmakers to show people how easy (and fun!) it can be to help!
When?
For the time being, development has been stalled due to time constraints. The project is slated to resume production in the fall of this year with public release by new years.

Our What? one-liner was pretty dense. Whew! Basically what it means is that we're going to collect data on humanitarian issues from reputable sources and present it here in a way that is hopefully both efficient and attractive.
We're planning to leverage the Adobe Flash platform to create an interactive and accessible web application.
Rainmakers was the brainchild of Alexander Hu as the final product of an entrepreneurial course at NYU. Ambitious and filled with dreamy fervor, he contacted longtime friend William Chou, a Computer Science engineer at Cornell U., with his idea. They form the team that is behind the Rainmakers concept.
While we hope to have Rainmakers eventually become a central resource for finding out about ongoing issues, there are already many great resources available on the web. The following websites are leaders in their areas and highly recommended:
